KONTROVERSIONAL - Digital Agency Web Design
A complete rebuild of the KONTROVERSIONAL website — a TikTok-based talent agency founded in 2024 that manages content creators and runs viral marketing campaigns for brands. The current site is a single-purpose brand-facing page; the new site carries the agency's bold black/white/red editorial visual identity from TikTok onto the web and turns it into a real business tool with two clear paths: one for brands who want to run campaigns, and one for creators who want to join the agency's roster. By launch, the site will include a full talent roster with individual profile pages, an expanded portfolio/case study section, and a contact flow that routes brand inquiries and talent applications separately, all built on a fast, static, easy-to-maintain foundation.
The problem
KONTROVERSIONAL has built a genuinely strong identity on TikTok — sharp typography, a consistent black/white/red palette, and content that gets real engagement, including on posts introducing individual talents. But none of that shows up on the current website. Visitors who discover the agency through TikTok and then check the website find something generic: a standard agency page that doesn't match the tone, doesn't show off the talent roster, and only talks to one type of visitor (brands). This creates three concrete problems: brands can't easily judge the agency's actual track record because case studies are thin or missing, creators have no reason to see the agency as a destination worth applying to since they're invisible on the site, and the disconnect between the TikTok brand and the website brand undermines the credibility the TikTok content has already earned.
Purpose
The purpose is to close that gap and turn the website into an asset instead of a liability. Concretely, the site should let a brand visitor understand what the agency does and reach out within a couple of clicks, let a creator see the existing roster and understand why joining would be worthwhile, and let the visual identity that already works on TikTok do the same job on the web — building instant credibility instead of feeling like an afterthought. Success looks like more qualified brand inquiries, a working pipeline of talent applications, and a site that a creator or brand would actually screenshot and share, the same way people already share the TikTok content.
